Our Story

Part Four is a holding company that actively invests in the areas of private equity, real estate and digital assets.

Our goal is to create long-term value by pursuing opportunities where we have deep insights, experience, or conviction.

We have a significant amount of committed capital that allows us to pursue a wide range of opportunities. We only invest our own capital (sometimes alongside strategic partners on an opportunity specific basis) which allows us to have a great deal of flexibility, patience, and alignment.

We are actively looking to deploy our capital, time, and
expertise into building long-term relationships with remarkable companies, entrepreneurs, and operators.

Shamez Virani founded Part Four to invest his capital across various asset classes in a way that aligns with his principles and passions.

In 2023, Shamez Co-Founded Alcorn, a partner-owned holding company focused on acquiring a portfolio of high-quality operating businesses with the intention of owning them for decades. The firm takes a thoughtful, long-term approach, partnering closely with founders and management teams to build trust, support growth, and preserve what makes each business enduring. The founders of Alcorn are the firm’s largest investors, ensuring deep alignment and a long-term orientation in every decision.

Prior to 2022, Shamez spent 11 years helping to lead and grow CentreCourt from a start-up into one of Canada’s preeminent real estate developers with over $6.6 billion of development value across 18 high-rise towers. Shamez joined CentreCourt in 2011 and became a Partner and President in 2015. Shamez transitioned out of the President role and day-to-day operations of CentreCourt at the end of 2021 but remains a partner, shareholder, and board member in the business.

In 2020, Shamez received the most coveted award for young business leaders when he was named as one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40.”

Shamez’ prior work experience includes working in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs.

Shamez holds an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from Columbia Business School and an Honors Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.

Shamez lives in Toronto with his wife and two daughters.
